Aubrey Schmoll is currently a third grade homeroom teacher at MICDS. After working in Early Childhood education for tens year she began teaching Elementary aged students. She has a passion for teaching English and pursued a TESOL certification after working with a large population of linguistically diverse students in a public school setting. Her work in the classroom focuses on responsive classroom techniques including culturally responsive teaching protocals and working with her grade level team to use literature to promote social justice in the classroom. Her commitment to curriculum practices that reflect equity and inclusion have involved traveling to Washington D.C. to participate in the Equity Design Lab for Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain. Aubrey holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
