Christy Moore

Christy Moore has been in education for over 25 years. She has taught science from JK through 8th grade. Christy has spent the last seven years at MICDS and is presently the JK-4th grade science teacher. On the side she is a manuscript reviewer for Science and Children, is part of the PBS teacher advisory group, is on the STEM Excellence Pathway team, coaches a 4th grade robotics team and a middle school squash team. Christy holds an MAT in science from Webster University and is a past recipient of the Presidential Award for Math and Science Teaching. In 2016 she was certified to present Novel Engineering workshops. Novel Engineering developed out of research from Tufts University. It is a unique approach to integrate engineering and literacy. Christy has been using Novel Engineering in her classroom for the last four years.
