Mead Ploszay has been the Middle School Learning Specialist at MICDS since January of 2009, having previously served as their Middle School Counselor. She routinely collaborates with teachers to design and implement instruction that integrates current and viable research in neuroscience, creates and presents grade appropriate cognitive and meta-memory strategy lessons to advisories or grade level groups, and develops and delivers presentations for parents on cognitive research strategies for managing attention, memory, learning and anxiety. Mead holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in School Psychology & Counseling from Bucknell University, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
