Rene Iannotti teaches Spanish 450 and AP Spanish Language and Culture at Mary Institute Saint Louis Country Day School, while directing the innovative ¡Aventureros! Spanish Immersion camp. She also leads an interdisciplinary, global sustainability course titled Interconnectivity: Ecology and People highlighting her interest in cross-divisional, project-based, and civic-driven learning around global competence and community engagement. Rene began her career as a Fulbright Research Scholar investigating non-traditional education in under-served communities in the Dominican Republic, and, subsequently, taught Humanities, Latin American Studies, and Spanish at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans. She has presented at numerous school conferences and universities including AATSP in Guadalajara, México and San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Midwest Education Technology Conference, ISACS, and Loyola and Tulane Universities.
