Travis Menghini is a Computer Science teacher at MICDS (Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School) in St. Louis, Missouri. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Applied Computing Technology with a concentration in Computing Education and later went on to earn a master's degree in Educational Technology.
Travis teaches several unique courses at MICDS, including AP Computer Science A and also Advanced Topics in Computing and Computer Science Research & Development which are unique courses to MICDS. Through his teaching, he aims to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the rapidly evolving field of technology.
Travis also coaches a FIRST Tech Challenge team where he is passionate within the local community. Within this program, he has served as a member of the local committee for the last 5 years. As a part of his involvement in robotics, Travis has lead several workshops that introduce robotics as a hands on learning tools and has been honored mentoring a team that won the title of World Champions in 2017. He holds a degree in Applied Computing Technology from Colorado State University where he graduated in 2017.
